Bosch Showcases Copper LPBF Research for Power Electronics at LiM 2025

At Laser in Manufacturing (LiM) 2025 in Munich, Isabelle Günther from Bosch presented cutting-edge research results from the GlobalAM project.

Her presentation, titled “Laser Metal Powder Bed Fusion of Pure Copper with Green and Infrared Wavelength for Power Electronics Applications,” focused on the challenges and potential of processing pure copper using different laser wavelengths—an important step toward advanced thermal management solutions in power electronics.
